Hello Everyone!

It’s that time of year again! I’m putting together the annual St. Louis Songwriters Seminar. Needing a little songwriting injection? Having WAJ withdrawal?  It’s a one day workshop with people in the songwriting industry straight from Nashville. The workshop runs from 8:30 AM to 4 pm. (Registration includes bagels and coffee in the morning as well as lunch). It is held at St. John’s Lutheran Church (15001 Manchester, Ellisville, MO) and it is a fabulous opportunity for all level of writers.

This years clinicians are Dove Award Winner Sue Smith, 2009 ASCAP Living Legend Dave Clark and up and comer Joel Smallbone. Sue writes for Brentwood Benson/Universal and has had much success in the Contemporary Christian, Southern Gospel and print markets. She has had cuts by Avalon, Mandisa, Ernie Hasse and Signature Sound, Joy Williams and many others.  Dave has recently celebrated his 25th #1 hit in the CCM market with cuts by Larnelle Harris, 4Him, Mark Harris and many other artists. He most recently took the position of Senior Creative Director for Lillenas Publishing. Joel Smallbone is no stranger to the industry. He grew up in a musical family and is currently crossing the States and Austrailia in pursuit of his musical career. He has a very modern sound and writes pop and Christian music. You can check him out at http://www.joelandluke.com   (Check them out immediately for their free download!)

They will be teaching classes in lyric writing, melody writing, song development, publishing, pitching, balancing your craft in the business, how to network as well as giving song critiques. The seminar is hosted by the St. Louis Songwriters group. At only $65 for the entire day, it’s a steal!

Attached you will find the registration form.  Registration is limited to 25 attendees, first come, first serve. If you have any questions, please contact me and I will be happy to help.  Please feel free to forward this information to anyone you think might be interested.

As always, you can contact me at zzbishop@charter.net or find me on facebook.  Hope to see you there!

Write On,
